CUBO

CUBO

2018

Family of accountants approached us to design their house that also contains their office. They requested a design devoid of extraneous elements. We packaged the house’s complex program into a simple cube, and hence the name.

They spend the majority of their day in office. Accounting is a serious work but we rejected the austere atmosphere that typifies office design by carefully selecting materials and injecting a bit of playfulness.

The floor is scratch-resistant, light-toned engineered floor boards, while the walls and the ceiling are kept neutral white and accented with blue, a color motif carried throughout the house.

The office entrance features a curved wall with indirect lighting, flanked by a custom-made shoe closet. We selected furniture to reflect the positive atmosphere of the office.
